Job Description

Job Summary:
The Technical Officer is responsible for overseeing and maintaining the organization’s technical systems, ensuring that all equipment, software, and hardware are functioning efficiently. The role involves troubleshooting issues, coordinating with other technical staff, and implementing solutions to maintain operational effectiveness. The Technical Officer also plays a key role in managing technical projects, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and supporting the technical needs of various departments.

Key Responsibilities:
Maintenance & Repair:

Regularly inspect, maintain, and repair technical equipment and systems.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues promptly to minimize downtime.
Coordinate with vendors for equipment servicing and repair when necessary.
System Management:

Monitor the performance of technical systems, including IT infrastructure, machinery, and other equipment.
Install and configure hardware and software as needed.
Ensure all systems are up to date with the latest upgrades and patches.
Technical Support:

Provide technical support and training to staff and end-users on the proper use of systems and equipment.
Respond to and resolve technical inquiries from various departments.
Project Management:

Assist in the planning, execution, and management of technical projects.
Collaborate with project teams to deliver solutions on time and within budget.
Prepare technical reports and documentation as required.
Safety & Compliance:

Ensure all technical operations comply with safety standards and regulations.
Conduct regular safety checks and risk assessments.
Implement safety protocols and provide training to staff on technical safety procedures.
Inventory Management:

Manage the inventory of technical equipment, tools, and spare parts.
Order and replenish supplies as needed to ensure uninterrupted operations.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
Experience: Minimum of [X] years of experience in a technical support, maintenance, or engineering role.
Skills:
Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
