Key Responsibilities:

· Evaluate and grade students’ course work, assignments, and papers.

· Prepare and conduct sessions with students on topics specified in the syllabi.

· Maintain student attendance records, grades, and other required record.

· Maintain regularly scheduled office hours in order to advise and assist students.

· Encourage students to conduct research.

· Teach students their Islamic and moral values in the light of Quran and Sunnah.

· Should not involve students in any discussions leading to unrest and dispute.

· Select and obtain materials and supplies such as textbooks and online resource.

· Design off class assignments for the students which demand use of library and browsing.

· Search and recommend advanced reading material for students and provide in the library for completing assignments and research.

· Participate in campus and community events.

· Perform duties as an Incharge as and when scheduled.

· Lead and participate in the events organized by the Naat & Qirat club.

· Perform other duties assigned by the supervisor (s), characteristic of any residential institute, with understanding that residential institute has a different culture and off class duties are routine of the institute.

Skills & Competencies:

· Good subject knowledge of Islam (Quran and Sunnat).

· Good computer skills.

Educational Qualification:

MS/MPhil in Islamic Studies from an HEC recognized University/Institution.

Work Experience:

Minimum 3 years’ experience of teaching BS students at the university level
