Job Title: Lecturer in English

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Lecturer in English to join our faculty. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching English language and literature courses, developing curriculum, and contributing to departmental activities.

Key Responsibilities:

– Teach English language and literature courses to undergraduate students
– Develop and implement curriculum for English courses
– Assess student performance and provide feedback
– Conduct research and publish scholarly articles
– Participate in departmental meetings and activities
– Supervise student projects and dissertations
– Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement departmental goals

Requirements:

– Master’s degree in English Language and Literature (Ph.D. preferred)
– 2+ years of teaching experience at the university level
– Strong knowledge of English language and literature
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
– Ability to teach a range of English courses
– Experience with curriculum development and assessment

Nice to Have:

– Experience with online teaching and learning platforms
– Certification in teaching English as a foreign language
– Publication record in scholarly journals

Education:

– Master’s degree in English Language and Literature (Ph.D. preferred)

Certifications/Licenses:

– Certification in teaching English as a foreign language (desired)

Work Environment:

– University campus
– Standard working hours (9am-5pm), with flexibility to work varied shifts

Physical Demands:

– Standing for long periods
– Using a computer for extended periods

Travel Requirements:
