About this role…

Love helping people? Well, Flipdish is looking for an IT Operations Engineer to join our growing IT team who loves technology and loves being the hero when a user has an IT crisis. This is an autonomous role in the team and is an exciting time to join as we are scaling!

In this role, you will be supporting the internal end users and need to be confident and able to work on your own initiative and make decisions. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include assisting all employees during their work lifecycle from onboarding, systems access, and IT support through to off-boarding from a technical standpoint. You should have a passion for technology and be willing to take on new challenges and contribute to the company’s growth.

In this job, you’ll:

  • Act as the first point of contact for all IT and technical issues inside Flipdish, from hardware issues to 3rd party account maintenance (Google Workspace, Slack etc).
  • Work closely with the Head of IT on BAU issues and assist with a number of strategic projects.
  • Provide 1st/2nd line support to end users.
  • Support and troubleshoot MacBook and Windows hardware.
  • Manage Google Workspace/Notion/Slack user groups.
  • Answer questions about 3rd party tools and SaaS platforms.
  • Ensure security compliance by all staff (Passwords, MFA).
  • Enforce critical and high severity software updates.
  • Manage mobile devices.
  • Handle onboarding and offboarding.
  • Manage IT asset management.

We’re looking for:

  • Excellent customer service skills with a “can do” attitude.
  • A drive to assist others with their technical problems.
  • Experience supporting Windows and MacOS.
  • Problem-solving and intuitive troubleshooting skills.
  • Good understanding of cyber threats, phishing techniques, and mitigation approaches.
  • Experience dealing with third-party vendors.
  • Work experience in a remote IT team.

Desirable:

  • Experience in Google Workspace Administration.
  • Experience administering Okta.
  • Experience administering Slack.
  • Some experience working with a service management tool (Jira).
  • Experience working as part of a project team.
