Objective of the role:
The Director of Sales is responsible for developing and executing the sales strategy to drive business growth and achieve revenue goals. This role involves managing the sales team, building strong client relationships, and collaborating with other departments to ensure alignment with the company’s overall objectives. The ideal candidate is a results-driven leader with a proven track record in sales, excellent communication skills, and the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
Responsibilities:
Sales Strategy Development:
· Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve company revenue and growth targets.
· Analyse market trends, customer needs, and competitive positioning to inform sales strategies.
Team Leadership & Management:
· Lead, mentor, and manage the sales team, including setting performance goals, conducting regular performance reviews, and providing ongoing coaching and development.
· Foster a high-performance culture focused on accountability, continuous improvement, and team collaboration.
Revenue Generation:
· Drive the sales team to achieve and exceed quarterly and annual sales targets.
· Identify and pursue new business opportunities, key accounts, and strategic partnerships.
Client Relationship Management:
· Establish and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders.
· Address client needs and concerns promptly to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
Sales Operations & Reporting:
· Oversee sales operations, including pipeline management, forecasting, and sales reporting.
· Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and adjust strategies as needed to ensure targets are met.
· Collaborate with the finance team to develop accurate sales forecasts and budgets.
Collaboration with Other Departments:
· Work closely with marketing, product development, and customer service teams to align sales strategies with broader company goals.
· Provide feedback to the product development team based on customer insights and market trends.
Market Expansion:
· Explore and expand into new markets or segments to drive business growth.
· Stay updated on industry trends and identify opportunities for competitive advantage.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field; MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.
Experience:
· 15 years of experience in sales, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role.
· Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
· Experience in real estate industry is highly desirable.
Skills:
· Strong leadership and team management skills.
· Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
· Strategic thinking with a customer-focused approach.
· Proficiency in CRM software and sales analytics tools.
· Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
